The Alabama Commission on Higher Education does not offer state college loans. FFELP loans used to be distributed through the KHEAA, but now all federal student loans are made through the Direct federal student loan program. Students who already have FFELP loans and are still in school, may use Direct loans consolidation until July 1, 2011.
(You will lose any benefits that are not included in Direct loans, if you do this.)
