Are Pell Grants Sent Directly to You?

... to use on any education resources you choose? Is the money sent to you or do you have to go through a school or be enrolled in one?

Answer:

The Pell grant money is sent to your school.

They can choose to disburse the money directly to the student, but most schools will apply it to the student's school account (for the current charges) and then issue a rebate check or credit if there is money left over.

You absolutely have to be enrolled to receive any Pell grant award.
