Just put college out of reach for my children. I am the only income earner in the house hold and have two children that wanted to go to college. But guess what. They can't. This stinks. Unless you are on welfare you get nothing.
This does not take into account that families have mortgages, insurance, utilities, and food. This is not fair - I have worked my fingers to the bone for what - NOTHING. I am so fed up with this. Looks like this country only favors the welfare, and foreigners. Since I work for a living and am struggling beyond belief, my kids can not go to school.
Can't get personal loans as the government took care of that the last time around when they put stricter rules on the banks which dropped my credit score over 300 points. So I guess I should quit my job and go on welfare so my kids can go to college.
ANSWER:
There are always federal student loans for those caught in the middle. There is absolutely no credit or income requirement for students to take out unsubsidized student loans. There are loan limits though, so your kids may have to be satisfied with public colleges.
