The Online FAFSA Application Will Not Need to be Verified

If we use the online FAFSA application that fills in our tax information, why would it need to be verified? All the IRS information they need will be right there. I think students and parents that do this will have a completely streamlined application process. Their information will not be lost, nothing will be missing and there will be nothing left to do.
The hardest part of filing for federal financial aid is the way it sometimes dragged on for weeks. Its almost worth it to wait until the summer and have it done with in a matter of minutes. Not only will all the info be there for the college and the Department of Education, but with a little luck, all the FAFSAs that need to be verified will already be selected by the time you file.
If this gets to be the standard way of doing things and the tax forms can be retrieved earlier in the year, no FAFSA will ever need to be verified. It will be much easier for students, the colleges and the government. Less paperwork all around.
