The Tax Credit Should Always Be Available!!!!

by Courtney
(Portsmouth, Ohio, U.S.A.)

With the cost of living increasing every year plus student loan debt, it is becoming impossible for students to pursue their education further past a bachelor's degree without living paycheck to paycheck.

This is unfair for those who strive for a better life and everyone should be entitled to an education. I am beginning to realize that living in America is not that great anymore! We overpay for everything and are being over-taxed and penalized with interest rates on loans that make it practically impossible to live the American Dream! I love our country but as I have became more educated on America's policies compared to other countries, such as health insurance specifically, I now doubt the direction our country is going in. I work for everything I have and I am proud of where I am in my life. I am currently finishing my Bachelor's in social work and will be pursuing my MSW next year. The tax credit for education should not just be extended, but always be available for tax paying Americans pursuing an education.

Our current administration is trying to make positive changes that support the lower and middle-classes and I hope they will be able to make permanent changes that will benefit all classes. The tax credit should not just be extended, but it should be a permanent tax break for those pursuing their education.
